負(fù)責(zé)為高清多媒體接口（HDMI）提供授權(quán)的代理機構(gòu)HDMI Licensing近日宣布該機構(gòu)將在新版HDMI v1.4標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中加入立體視頻信號支持功能。負(fù)責(zé)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)制訂的專家組將在下月召開的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)會議上將向這個標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中加入暫定名為“Top/Bottom”的立體視頻信號格式。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中將為立體視頻信號的傳輸協(xié)議進(jìn)行規(guī)定，不過HDMI Licensing組織同時表示標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中暫不會對立體視頻廣播信號格式作強制性規(guī)定，他們以后將會對這部分內(nèi)容進(jìn)行補充和修改。

        除了對立體視頻信號的傳輸協(xié)議進(jìn)行規(guī)定之外，新規(guī)范同時還加入了數(shù)據(jù)傳輸功能，為HDMI接口加入了一個專用的100Mbps以太網(wǎng)連接通道。另外還加入了用于傳輸壓縮格式音頻信號的 Audio Return信道等等。

        據(jù)預(yù)計，支持HDMI v1.4標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的設(shè)備將于明年1月初召開的CES展會上推出。

原文：HDMI Licensing, the group behind the media interface specification, has announced plans to support 3D content with the upcoming HDMI spec v1.4. The consortium will meet in January to add the "Top/Bottom" 3D format. The group acknowledges the lack of a mandatory 3D broadcast format, leaving the standard open for further additions or modifications.

    HDMI 1.4 establishes protocols for several 3D display technologies including frame, line, or field alternative methods; side by side display, and 2D plus depth methods.

    The new specification also features data as an essential feature, with a dedicated pipe for 100Mbps Ethernet connections. An Audio Return Channel is designed to send compressed sound through intermediary devices, while a proposed micro HDMI connector will support 1080p video for small devices.

    HDMI 1.4-equipped devices are expected to be launched early in January at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
